Emphasizes hands-on learning based on a research-based, age appropriate curriculum. Our curriculum is aligned with USD 251 and we partner to provide at-risk 3 year old preschool.
NLCCDC is an approved USD 251 bus stop. Before and after school care, time for homework completion, access to activity centers, outside and/or gym time offered

About Us
Since 1997, the NLC Youth Association has been dedicated to creating a nurturing, learning, and caring environment for children and families in our community. As a non-profit organization, we operate a licensed child-development center serving children from newborns to 12 years old with an integrated preschool program. Our community center fosters fellowship and connection through events and activities that bring everyone together.
The Role
We’re looking for dependable, caring, and flexible individuals to join our early childhood education team as Float Staff. In this role, you will step in wherever needed to support our classrooms, ensuring children experience a safe, nurturing, and engaging environment.
This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys working with children, and is eager to make a meaningful difference in their lives.

Your Qualifications
A high school diploma or equivalent
Experience working with children is a plus but not necessary – we value a willingness to learn and grow!
Ability to pass a background check and obtain required clearances.
A genuine passion for creating a safe, fun, and enriching environment for children.
Key Responsibilities
Engage warmly with children, fostering a positive and nurturing atmosphere.
Step into classrooms as needed to support daily routines, activities, and transitions.
Assist with diaper changes, pull-ups, and toileting needs in a patient and respectful manner.
Help facilitate age-appropriate activities that encourage learning through play.
Uphold Early Childhood Program Standards and the NLC Youth Association Code of Ethics.
